</>What does Speed, Jump & Jetpack do?

Moon Sweepers sends you a long way on foot. The walk from a far crater back to a depot takes a while at running pace, and the jetpack does nothing until you've bought it, then empties after a couple of boosts. Speed, Jump & Jetpack gives each of those its own switch. Faster Running sets your speed to Run Speed Percent, from 25 to 500 with 200 to start. Higher Jumps uses Jump Height Percent, 50 to 1,000 and 300 by default, which triples the height of every jump. Change Gravity works from Gravity Percent, 10 to 300 with 50 to start: under 100 you drift down slowly and climb higher, over 100 you drop back down sooner. Unlimited Jetpack Boosts refills your boosts the moment you spend them. Each switch works alone, and switching one off returns that part of your movement to normal on the spot. Vehicles are left as they are; Vehicle Speed & Width is the mod for those.

</>What is Speed, Jump & Jetpack?

Getting around on foot is slow in Moon Sweepers, and its jetpack stays locked until you pay for the upgrade. This mod adds four switches for the astronaut you control: Faster Running, Higher Jumps, Change Gravity and Unlimited Jetpack Boosts, three of them with a percentage to set. It never changes vehicles, robots, flying capsules or anyone else's astronaut.

</>Common questions about Speed, Jump & Jetpack

What does Speed, Jump & Jetpack do in Moon Sweepers?

It reshapes how your own astronaut gets around and leaves everything else alone. Each player's game works out its own astronaut's movement, so the switches behave the same in a solo shift, as host, or as a crewmate in someone else's shift, and the rest of the crew moves as normal.

How do Higher Jumps and Change Gravity combine?

They multiply. Higher Jumps makes you leave the ground faster and Gravity Percent sets how hard the Moon pulls you back, so the top of a jump ends up at roughly Jump Height Percent divided by Gravity Percent. At 300 and 50 that's about six times the normal height, with far more time in the air. With only Change Gravity on, a Gravity Percent of 50 still doubles your jump, because the take-off stays as strong as ever.

What happens to gravity while my gravity boots are on?

The boots win. With them on, the game pulls you down at Earth gravity, 9.81, whatever Gravity Percent is set to, which is exactly what the boots normally do. Jump Height Percent still adds to your take-off, but under that pull even a big jump stays low. Switch the boots off and your own gravity is back straight away.

Do I need the jetpack upgrade for Unlimited Jetpack Boosts?

No. Without the upgrade you get the boosts the first jetpack level gives, and they never run out. Your suit shows a jetpack while it's on, and the rest of the crew sees it on you too, since your game reports one. Buy the real jetpack later and its own boost count takes over.

Why does it take a moment to reach full speed at 500?

Only your top speed changes. You still pick up speed at the game's normal rate, briskly on the ground and much more slowly in the air, so near the top of the range a sprint needs a second or two of running before it peaks.

What options does Speed, Jump & Jetpack include?

Faster Running

You run at Run Speed Percent of your normal speed; your speed upgrades still add on top. Off: your normal speed.

Change Gravity

The Moon pulls you down at Gravity Percent strength: less means slower falls and higher, floatier jumps. Gravity boots still hold you down as usual. Off: normal gravity.

Unlimited Jetpack Boosts

Press Jump again in mid-air for a jetpack boost as often as you like, even before you've bought the jetpack. Off: boosts work as normal.

Gravity Percent

100 is the Moon's normal pull, 50 is half (you jump twice as high), 200 is double.

Run Speed Percent

How fast you run: 100 is normal, 200 is twice as fast, 50 is half.

Higher Jumps

Your jumps reach Jump Height Percent of the normal height; jump upgrades still add on top. Off: normal jumps.

Jump Height Percent

How high you jump: 100 is normal, 300 is three times as high.

Quick Answer

Speed, Jump & Jetpack is a ProjectMods mod for Moon Sweepers that changes how your astronaut moves on foot: how fast you run, how high you jump, how strongly the Moon pulls you down and how often your jetpack can boost.

System Requirements

OS: Windows 10 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 / AMD Radeon RX 570
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 2 GB available space

What features does Speed, Jump & Jetpack include?

  • Run Speed Percent and Jump Height Percent multiply what your upgrades already give you, so a speed or jump upgrade you've bought keeps counting.
  • The new gravity belongs to your astronaut alone. Capsules in flight and vehicles keep the Moon's normal pull.
  • Boosts behave the game's way: each extra press of Jump in mid-air pushes you at 15 m/s for about a third of a second, and the next press works as soon as that push ends.
  • Landing from any height leaves you on your feet. In Moon Sweepers only a vehicle running into you knocks you over.

Best For

  • Your tool is full at the far end of a crater and the nearest depot is a long way off. With Faster Running at 300 the trip there and back goes three times as quickly.
  • A ridge stands between you and the next stretch of dust. Leave Higher Jumps at its default 300 and go over the top instead of round it.
  • You'd like the Moon to feel more like the real one. Turn on Change Gravity with Gravity Percent at 30 and every jump becomes a long, slow arc.
  • You haven't saved up for the jetpack but keep needing to get onto roofs. Unlimited Jetpack Boosts lets you climb up there by tapping Jump in the air.
