Turn on Boost Experience Gain and move the slider. At 3x one fight pays out like three, so you climb steadily without ever having to go back and clear a map you already beat. Push it to 20x and you rocket through the early levels to reach the build you actually want to play. Drop it back to 1x and everything returns to the way the developers shipped it. The slider takes effect on the very next fight, quest turn-in or conversation reward, and the combat log shows the real number you earned, so you always know exactly what happened. When you'd rather jump than climb, set an amount and press Grant Experience To Party. Everyone in line for experience gets it, and the Only Active Companions Receive Experience setting in your options shapes the amount: with it off each character receives the number you typed, and with it on the game pools six times that amount and splits it across your active party.
