</>What does Plot Armour (Party Invulnerability) do?
The Stolen Lands don't play fair. An ambush on the road, a swarm of trolls in a cave, a single unlucky critical on your main character, and the last twenty minutes are gone. Plot Armour gives your party the protection the story keeps promising them. Turn on the safety net and your heroes always keep at least one hit point, so the fight still feels real but nobody hits the floor. Want to stop worrying entirely? Switch on full protection and swords, spells, traps and long falls all land for nothing. The third switch goes further again. Even the effects that would normally take a character off the board for good leave them standing, so a bad save on a death spell is no longer a reload. Everything here covers your party and only your party. Enemies still take full damage and still die exactly the way they always did, so combat keeps its shape instead of turning into an unkillable mess on both sides. Flip any switch off mid-run and your party goes straight back to normal.
</>What is Plot Armour (Party Invulnerability)?
Kingmaker's combat has a habit of ending your evening. One failed saving throw against a death spell, one critical on your main character, and you're reloading a save from before the ambush. Plot Armour gives your Pathfinder: Kingmaker party three levels of protection, from a safety net at one hit point to ignoring damage entirely. Enemies get none of it, so they still take full damage and still die. Free on ProjectMods, and every switch flips back off whenever you want the risk back.
</>Common questions about Plot Armour (Party Invulnerability)
What does Plot Armour do in Pathfinder: Kingmaker?
Plot Armour keeps your Pathfinder: Kingmaker party standing through anything the Stolen Lands throw at them, at whichever level of protection you pick. Survive Anything is the safety net, so hits still land and you still watch the numbers drop, but nobody can be reduced below one hit point. Ignore All Damage is the full version, where swords, spells, traps, poison and long falls all land for a flat zero. Never Truly Dies covers the effects that skip health entirely and simply remove a character, keeping them in the fight instead.
What is the difference between Survive Anything and Ignore All Damage?
They protect your Pathfinder: Kingmaker party in different ways. Survive Anything lets the damage happen and then refuses to let anyone fall below one hit point, so the fight still feels real, health bars still drop, healing still matters, and a bad round still looks alarming. Ignore All Damage stops the damage arriving at all, so every number on your side reads zero and health bars never move. Pick the first if you want tension without losses, and the second if you want to stop thinking about combat health entirely.
Does Never Truly Dies cover instant death effects?
That's exactly what it's for. Some effects in Pathfinder: Kingmaker don't care how much health you have, because they skip the health bar entirely and take a character off the board, which is how one failed saving throw turns twenty minutes into a reload. Never Truly Dies covers those and keeps your party standing through them. It's the switch that matters most in the later chapters, where save-or-lose effects start appearing regularly. Switching it off puts everyone back to normal straight away, with no protection lingering behind.
Do enemies get the same protection?
No. Everything in Plot Armour applies to your Pathfinder: Kingmaker party and only your party. Enemies still take full damage from every sword, spell and trap, and they still die exactly the way they always did, so combat keeps its shape instead of turning into an unkillable standoff on both sides. That's a deliberate choice, because a fight where nothing on either side can fall isn't easier, it's just longer. With Plot Armour on you keep the satisfaction of winning, without the reload when one critical hit goes the wrong way.
Can I switch protection off mid-run without reloading?
Yes. Every switch in Plot Armour takes effect immediately in both directions, so flipping one off mid-campaign puts your Pathfinder: Kingmaker party straight back to normal for the very next hit. That makes it practical to use situationally: turn the safety net on for a boss that keeps ending your evening, clear it, then turn it back off for the rest of the chapter. It's one of the free mods on ProjectMods, so trying that approach costs nothing, and combat returns to its original behaviour the moment you decide you want the risk back.
